Early Morning Delay

Greysen and I love when we have two hour delays. We can stay home longer with Ashi and watch videos. Delays give us the chance to eat breakfast together and have almost three more hours of play time. We would take a delay any day.

Thanksgiving 2008

Olive and Aunt Mimi

During our travels over Thanksgiving weekend, we got to see our nieces Caddis and Olive. Olive very much enjoyed her play time with Ashi and gave many kisses to Greysen. She and Greysen are excidedly looking forward to their first Christmas together.

A Weekend Away

We spent our weekend in Fort Myers Beach, FL. Our travels took us to our friends' wedding, congratulations Heather and Justin, and to Sanibel Island. While on Sanibel, we went shelling and were amazed how many shells were to be had. Although we had a great time strolling the beaches and celebrating with our friends, we sure missed Greysen and Ashi and were anxious to be back home again.

Snow Puppy

As the snow fell today, Ashi was in heaven. After making several puppy snow angels, she just sat as the snow fell all over her. Every winter we can count on Ashi spending many hours playing in the snow.

Weekend at Home

We were more than glad to have another weekend at home and Greysen was especially glad since Grandma Schnick was here all weekend.
Mommy and Daddy took Ashi for her yearly shots during which she more than won over the affection of Dr. Jeff. Then, after some lite morning shopping, where Greysen found the essential item for his wardrobe, we spent most of the weekend starting to get ready for ou
r Christmas visitors.

Great Day for a Nap

Between the rain and the time change, some of the members of the Miller family felt the need to take a nap this morning. I couldn't pass on this photo opportunity. They looked so nice and cozy all snuggled in bed together. Hopefully they wake up by the time the sheets finish drying!

Go NC!

Mommy and Daddy told me that Aunt Nicole and Uncle Paul were coming for Christmas. I am not sure when Christmas is so I thought I better put my North Carolina shirt on today, just in case. I can't wait to see them!

My First Halloween

On Greysen's first Halloween, he spent the day with his BFF Cora and worked on the impession of the mummy on his shirt. Although we didn't hit the trail for trick or treating, we treated ourselves to a family night in.

Halloween Cards

Today, Greysen received his first Halloween cards from Grandma Schnick and Grandma and Grandpa Miller. He was very excited about these cards and examined them very closely before running errands with mom.

Perfect Day

Not only was Saturday the perfect day to watch the Hoosiers actually win a Big Ten game, but we were also fortunate enough to be at the game where Amy's mom's cousin was recognized for earning his first letter as a member of the IU football team 50 years ago. It is kind of hard to see him in this picture without being able to zoom in, but Tom (TD) Burgess is the man standing between the tip of the I and the back pylon, wearing a black jacket and holding a plaque. We would also like to thank Aunt Carrie, Uncle Brian, and Grandma Schnick for watching the little man while we were at the game!

Hoosiers Win

The weather was beautiful, the seats were great, and the game was a nailbiter as the Hoosiers won over Northwestern this past weekend. We spent our fall break celebrating more birthdays and watching the HOOSIERS WIN in Bloomington, where Corey was at home among many Hoosier-crazy fans.

Greysen's New Trick

It has been so much fun to watch Greysen grow and learn new things. However, we are quickly learning that some of these new accomplishments are going to cause us to make some changes to our home. Greysen is not crawling yet, but he has definitely learned how to roll his way across a room. We can no longer leave the room while he is playing on the floor because it doesn't long for him to locate one of Ashi's toys and make it his own. He has also learned how to twist and turn his way out of his, once favorite, bouncey seat, into a seated position on the floor. He rather enjoys this game and usually completes this task with an enormous smile. We can only imagine what his next trick will be!

Big October Day

It was a big day at the Miller house. Greysen was monkeying around the backyard with Ashi. Then, we ventured out to the pumpkin patch to enjoy the autumn air. And tonight was our first experience with a sippy cup. Each one was rather successful and what a treat to watch him experience all three for the first time. We never knew being parents would be so fun and rewarding.

Amy's Birthday

Those of you that know us, already know how much I love my birthday. It is the one day of the year that is all mine and I usually enjoy every minute of it. Although I would have much preferred spending the whole day with Greysen, the day wasn't half bad. I shared the day with friends at school and spent the evening with the boys dining out and doing some lite shopping. All in all, a great b-day!

The Miller Times Begins

October 16, 2008

The first day of The Miller Times. Welcome to our family and friends. We wish we could spend more time with so many of you, but obligations and distance hamper us. Hopefully, our postings, pictures, and anecdotes will help to make us feel closer in every way possible.
